VIII. Half Way
Although it’s too early to celebrate just yet, a new milestone has been reached. The 250-lap mark has been crossed off my progress sheet and the half way point is now in the past. Despite the island being relatively flat (rising to only 9m above sea level at its highest point) I’m led to believe that it’s all downhill from here.
Along with the rate of walking the pace of life on the island is beginning to increase as the changeover approaches. But, there’s still a long way to go.
I’ll also take this opportunity to remind anyone who is interested to cast their vote for the last charity to be featured in this walking challenge. It’s very simple and will only take a minute of your time. The vote will close before the start of the 401st lap so at my current rate this is only a couple of weeks away.
